In a strategic move to strengthen digital independence, Lintasarta, operating as the AI Factory under Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, launched Semesta AI. The accelerator program empowers local startups and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to create AI-based innovations with real-world applications across finance, healthcare, public services, and manufacturing.

Semesta AI is part of the AI Merdeka movement, aiming to reinforce national capabilities through purposeful innovation. The program is organized by Lintasarta in collaboration with KUMPUL and NVIDIA through its NVIDIA Inception program. According to Bayu Hanantasena, President Director & CEO of Lintasarta, Semesta AI is designed “to deliver real impact within national industries” by combining training, technology access, and market integration.

Program Structure and Support

Semesta AI offers a structured process to ensure startups are well-prepared to deploy AI solutions in the market:

• Focus Group Discussion to map industry challenges and identify opportunities.
• Startup Scouting to find high-potential AI startups from across Indonesia.
• Technical Assistance for 70 startups through NVIDIA DLI training and mentoring.
• Pilot Project where 20 startups collaborate with Lintasarta business units.
• Demo Day for 10 startups to present pilot projects to Lintasarta’s business ecosystem.

Participants also receive “GPU Merdeka” vouchers valued up to USD 15,000 for access to NVIDIA infrastructure, along with opportunities to connect with over 2,300 Lintasarta clients.

Impact and Future Direction

Since opening the registration in late 2024, Semesta AI has received 155 applications from startups nationwide. A total of 50 were shortlisted, with 20 selected for intensive mentoring and 30 receiving technical support to advance their AI solutions.

The program aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 9, which focuses on industry, innovation, and infrastructure.
