KUMPUL Officially Leads the Global Tech Advocates in Indonesia
In recent years, Indonesia’s technology ecosystem has experienced rapid growth, with the valuation of technology startups in Indonesia reaching USD 30 billion in 2023. However, amidst this growth, several challenges need to be addressed, such as digital access inequality, a lack of cross-sector collaboration, and the need for human resource development in technology.

KUMPUL Chosen to Lead Tech Indonesia Advocates
On November 22, 2024, at the Indonesia Investment Forum held in London, UK, Russ Shaw CBE, founder of Tech London Advocates and Global Tech Advocates, announced KUMPUL as the leader of Tech Indonesia Advocates. KUMPUL was selected due to its significant impact on Indonesia’s business ecosystem, especially considering its track record reaching over 56,790 local and global startups across various sectors.
Global Tech Advocates is a grassroots-based international technology community connecting over 30,000 members from various sectors across over 50 countries. Their mission is to positively impact the global technology sector by promoting inclusivity and cross-border collaboration.
Strengthening Regional and International Collaborations
Through the Tech Indonesia Advocates which will launch in 2025, KUMPUL will strengthen regional relationships in Southeast Asia, including with Tech Thailand Advocates led by Techsauce, to create a more inclusive and innovative ecosystem in the region. Additionally, Tech Indonesia Advocates plans to collaborate with other Global Tech Advocates representatives in Southeast Asia, including in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
This initiative addresses the need for a catalyst to strengthen the ecosystem by exchanging ideas, knowledge, and experience, ensuring Indonesia can compete globally. It is expected to foster more cross-sector collaborations to accelerate technological progress in Indonesia, including leveraging the momentum of Indonesia’s digital economy growth, projected to reach USD 130 billion by 2025 (Google, Temasek & Bain, economy SEA Report 2023).
