Supporting Women Entrepreneurs in Five Indonesian Cities

SheHacks Innovate 2025 was created to help women who run small and micro businesses in areas with limited access to training or networks. The program gives them practical knowledge on using digital tools and improving how they manage and grow their businesses.

The series took place in five cities: Jayapura, Ambon, Nias, Banyuwangi, and Pamekasan. Each city hosted a two-day workshop followed by mentoring sessions held online. From every city, one business was chosen to join the SheHacks Ideation Lab for further learning and guidance.

City Programs and Local Highlights

Ambon (3–4 June 2025)
At Universitas Pattimura’s Aula Rektorat, the Ambon workshop welcomed 108 participants. Guided by mentors from both the business and academic sectors, sessions explored product branding, online marketing, and collaboration with local incubators. Mentors included Septia Erianti (Organic Lombok Indonesia), Sitti Raisya (Kasir Pintar), and Chomsa Dintasari Umi Bazsary from the university’s business incubator.

Nias (18–19 June 2025)
Hosted at Hotel Soliga, the Nias workshop gathered 107 participants who focused on turning local resources into market-ready products. With guidance from Sitti Raisya (Kasir Pintar), Farhaniza (Yagi Forest Skincare), and Stefani Miranda Duha (LÕCI), discussions highlighted packaging, pricing, and consistency in product quality.

Banyuwangi (2–3 July 2025)
At Hotel Luminor Banyuwangi, 91 participants joined practical sessions on scaling small food and skincare brands. Mentors Sitti Raisya (Kasir Pintar), Septia Erianty (OGANIC Skincare), and Etik Nur Kristiani (Oemah Crispy Dbeja) shared lessons on digital promotion, production management, and peer-to-peer learning among local business owners.

Pamekasan (16–17 July 2025)
The closing workshop in Pamekasan gathered 88 women entrepreneurs at Hotel Azana Style Madura. The sessions focused on sustainable business practices, pricing strategies, and keeping local supply chains stable. Mentors included Sitti Raisya (Kasir Pintar), Ifana Azizah (Haveltea), and Sjarifah Dewi (Basaraya), who emphasized consistency, collaboration, and financial planning in small-scale enterprises.

Learning, Mentoring, and Continued Support

Each SheHacks Innovate session followed the same structure: a two-day workshop with lessons, group discussions, and practice exercises. Participants learned about digital tools, marketing, and how to plan for long-term business stability.

After the workshop, mentoring continued online to help them apply what they learned. From every city, one selected participant moved forward to the SheHacks Ideation Lab, where they received further training through an online platform.

By combining local learning with national follow-up, SheHacks Innovate opens more equal opportunities for women entrepreneurs across different regions of Indonesia.
