Connecting Innovators at the Smart City Solution Tech Summit 2025

On 11 November 2025, urban technology innovators gathered in Jakarta for the Smart City Solution Tech Summit 2025. The event brought together Korean startups developing city-focused technologies and Indonesia’s growing business ecosystem. The forum created opportunities for founders to understand market needs, review policy structures, and explore cross-border collaboration.

The program was hosted by the Chungnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation CCEI, an institution that supports Korean startups through market access and business guidance. Mega Prawita, Managing Director of KUMPUL, joined the judging panel to assess product readiness, market strategy, and each team’s capacity to build investment pathways that align with Indonesia’s context. Her participation helped the startups recognize regulatory challenges, user requirements, and social factors that shape the adoption of urban technologies.

The participating teams presented portfolios that reflect key areas of city development in Korea. Their technologies addressed sustainable mobility, energy management, environmental monitoring, public safety data systems, and digital services that support everyday urban functions. These focus areas show how mobility, energy transition, safety, education, and artificial intelligence play central roles in connected urban environments.

Assessing Market Fit for Indonesia’s Urban Landscape

Through judging sessions and technical discussions, the startups received feedback on the suitability of their solutions for Indonesia. Topics included device readiness, integration with existing infrastructure, and data governance. These conversations offered insight into how technologies can be applied at city scale while considering local social and economic conditions.

KUMPUL contributed by strengthening the participants’ understanding of local partnerships and market behavior. This role supports the development of technology-driven entrepreneurship and cross-border collaboration that enables sustainable urban growth. Below, are the Korea’s Smart City Startups and Their Solutions:

  • Crosshub develops digital identity and cross-border payment infrastructure through IDBlock and B Pay. The system integrates Self Sovereign Identity with Zero Knowledge Proof verification to support secure authentication and onboarding for global users and businesses.
  • H Solutions builds mobility safety technology powered by Vision AI. Its Safe Vision Kit detects collisions, shocks, and abrupt stops, while the H Care platform provides cloud-based monitoring for operators and institutions responsible for mobility services.
  • KOF introduces land-based shrimp farming through a closed recirculation smart farm system. The company provides FiCl Manager, an AI driven farm management tool, and FiCl House, a modular inland farm model that supports efficient aquaculture.
  • Mithril develops Guardian Alpha, an industrial safety and operational intelligence platform that applies Vision Language AI for real time risk monitoring. The company also builds NENYA, a multimodal model designed for industrial environments involving text, image, and sensor data processing.
  • Net Zero Industries focuses on plastic upcycling by recovering high quality material from hard to recycle waste and converting textile waste into renewable thermal energy. The process produces PCR material suitable for multiple industrial applications.
  • Robogram provides technology learning programs through JEM S and ROBOME. These tools are used in schools and academies to teach 3D game creation, algorithm fundamentals, and introductory AI model building supported by an integrated learning system.
  • Solarstic develops ultra lightweight solar panels for vehicles and buildings through Vehicle Integrated Photovoltaic and Building Attached Photovoltaic systems. The panels are manufactured using injection molding to achieve reduced weight suitable for structures with limited load capacity.
  • Wellmatix builds an AI platform for sustainable material discovery, supporting semiconductor research, battery materials, and carbon capture technologies. The platform delivers early stage analysis, material prediction, and optimization for industry and research institutions.

The summit highlighted how practical insights, shared learning, and structured evaluation can support technology adoption in growing cities. Through this process, KUMPUL continues to connect innovators with partners who shape sustainable urban development across Indonesia.
