In 2015, KUMPUL began as a small coworking space in Bali. Ten years later, it stands as a national ecosystem enabler with global connections. The first KUMPUL Impact Report captures this journey, presenting data, milestones, and initiatives that illustrate how KUMPUL has supported entrepreneurs, startups, and MSMEs across Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific.
A Mission Shaped by Three Pillars

KUMPUL frames its work around three pillars. The Ecosystem pillar focuses on building partnerships, developing hubs, and sharing industry insights. The Advisory pillar provides incubation, acceleration, and global market access programs, supported by the Scale-up Readiness Index (SCRIN) as a diagnostic tool. The Impact pillar develops communities and generates joint research to guide policies and business strategies. Each pillar aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, with particular emphasis on education, gender equality, decent work, reduced inequalities, and partnerships.
Ten Years of Growth

Over the decade, KUMPUL has worked with 52,000+ startups, directly empowering 420+ of them through incubation, acceleration, and market access programs. Funding mobilized within its network reached USD 37.18M in seed rounds, USD 18.9M from angel investors, USD 5.73M through bootstrap efforts, and USD 1.12M in pre-seed stages. The technology landscape within these startups shows strong adoption of AI (42.4%), Web3 (30.3%), and IoT (20.2%), with edutech, health-tech, energy and sustainability, and services emerging as dominant sectors.
This impact extends to the wider base of micro, small, and medium enterprises. Since 2015, KUMPUL has supported 805 MSMEs and reached more than 82,000 across Indonesia. These businesses recorded a cumulative revenue increase of Rp 150.6 billion+, reflecting the concrete results of mentorship, digital adoption, and market access. MSMEs in the KUMPUL ecosystem are concentrated in food and beverages (58.69%), crafts and creative products (14.12%), fashion (12.48%), agribusiness (4.9%), and education (3.27%). Many have advanced their market readiness through certifications, including halal (44.96%), home industry licenses (28.99%), and intellectual property rights (21.01%).
The momentum from startups and MSMEs is strengthened by a growing international presence. Partnerships define KUMPUL’s global footprint, with collaborations in the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Brunei, Hong Kong, and Australia. Through the Global Market Access Program, entrepreneurs have joined inbound and outbound initiatives, supported by 165+ business matching activities that connect them with investors, mentors, and corporate partners.
