On 25 April 2025, KUMPUL, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat or IOH) and UN Women officially launched SheHacks 2025 and released the SheHacks 5-Year Impact Report: Empowering Women in Tech. The event marked a milestone, highlighting five years of SheHacks as a platform dedicated to advancing women in technology and entrepreneurship.
Since its inception in 2020, SheHacks has reached 34,882 women entrepreneurs across 203 cities and regencies in Indonesia. What began as a mentoring initiative has grown into a full-scale acceleration platform through Startup Lab, Ideation Lab, and Innovate Lab, supporting women entrepreneurs from idea development to business expansion. KUMPUL, serving as the strategic implementing partner since 2021, has played a central role in program design, delivery, and ecosystem building, ensuring SheHacks connects women entrepreneurs with mentorship, training, and opportunities across regions.
Evidence of Impact and Remaining Gaps

The report outlines tangible results. In the past two years, 87.5 percent of participating startups promoted women employees into leadership positions. 25 percent of surveyed participants entered at least five new markets. On workforce growth, 78.9 percent of startups created 1–10 new jobs, while 10.5 percent expanded by 11–50 employees. Some also hired persons with disabilities, reflecting a broader impact on inclusive employment.
At the same time, the report identifies persistent gaps. Participants scored 3.38 out of 5 on digital product development but only 2.63 out of 5 on mastery of advanced technologies such as AI and blockchain. On fundraising, the lowest score recorded was 2.88 out of 5, underscoring that access to investment remains the most pressing barrier for women entrepreneurs.
“SheHacks is a tangible expression of our continued commitment to promoting gender equality and strengthening the role of women in technology and innovation,” said Reski Damayanti, Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison.
The Next Chapter

This year, SheHacks 2025 focuses on three priorities: expanding access to gender-lens investment opportunities, strengthening advanced digital technology training in areas such as AI, fintech, and blockchain, and establishing a SheHacks Alumni Network to ensure sustained mentorship and peer-led support beyond the program cycle.
- Gender-Lens Investing and Financial Literacy
Development of a SheHacks Investment Readiness Program is planned to prepare women-led startups for diverse funding sources, from grants to blended finance, while advocating for more inclusive investment practices. - Advanced Digital Skills Training
Intensive bootcamps and collaborative programs with initiatives such as AI Ready ASEAN and Kominfo’s Digital Talent Scholarship, equipping participants with skills in AI, blockchain, SaaS, and fintech. - SheHacks Alumni Network
Structured alumni engagement through regional chapters in 203 cities, peer-to-peer mentoring, and alumni-led incubation to create a self-sustaining ecosystem of women entrepreneurs. - Strengthened Mentorship and Ecosystem Engagement
A combined system of anchor mentors and subject-matter experts in finance, law, and marketing, alongside cross-sector collaboration with government bodies and international partners. - Visibility and Storytelling
Planned initiatives such as the Women Founder Showcase will provide platforms to highlight the stories of SheHacks alumni, increasing their visibility in national and global markets.
With the launch of SheHacks 2025, KUMPUL , Indosat, and UN Women, reaffirm that women’s participation in technology must evolve into leadership. Investing in women entrepreneurs is an investment in an inclusive digital future for Indonesia.
